It takes a bit of snobbery to have faith. Most people will grab whatever is left of a relationship, situation, etc - even when it's been beaten beyond recognition.

Faith lets you be picky. You're standing there looking at this mess that used to be something (or could have been something) beautiful, and faith allows you to just hand it back because it means you understand that those chances only come from one place. And when you understand that, you understand that the only way you're ever going to have the beautiful things in your life is to let go of the ones you or someone else messed up.

I like the genuine. The pure. So if He cleans it up and makes it that way again, I'll have it.

If not, it wasn't what I wanted anyway so why take it?

Don't ever settle. Nobody ever blazed ahead doing that, now did they?
